24th, August; A Level Results...

So i got my A level results not too long ago...

I wasn`t too happy though, if anything i was quite upset about it. So if your read any of my blogs then you will know that I work really, really hard on everything I do in Art and it`s actually the only subject that I do.
I get into Sixth form early to set up my things, then i stay behind to get extra work done and tidy up a bit more. I`ve always put a lot of time and effort into studying art and I was just panicking so much about getting my results for my A level. at the end of year 13, I`ll have another three BTEC`s to go along with the A level.

So my A Level was a Fine Art A level and according to my first result, i did quite well and got an A but then my second result was a C... For starts, I have no idea as to how my level could go down so much in such a short space of time, so that confused me.
So my final result came to...
B
A bloody B grade which I wasn`t happy about at all. I`ve always worked so, so hard to get the best grades. But a B has actually really set me down at the moment and has got me feeling pretty down about my work and has made me realize as to how different this next year is going to be for me.

So i`m going to try and make my work look more professional, instead of keeping loads of copies of the same work i`m going to keep on working on just the one to get it the best it could be, I`m definitely going to try a lot more different kinds of work now instead of sticking to one area and most of all... I`m going to keep my head down and stay quite...

The summer holidays have made me think a lot about people who I should associate myself with from now on, a lot of things have been said and it`s gotten back around to me. So from now on, I`m going to be more focused on blogging, my work and writing.

So when i get back, there will be a lot more updating than there has been during the holidays; which I am sorry about... It`s my holiday too!

12th, August; Where have i been....?

12th, August; Where have i been....?


So then, i haven`t been too busy but i`ve not been on here in some time now.
It`s just that this is my holiday too so it`s mainly been catch-up time with online friends, family, real friends and a tiny bit of over time at work. I feel as if the stress of sixth form has literally just gone right now and i`m loving it... But that doesn`t mean that i`ve stopped doing any work...

So just lately i`ve been doing the obvious work for my David, (boyfriend), with his manga characters and i`ve been trying to give him advice and help him along. It`s just mainly been small characters and practice for me on making the characters.

Then i`ve been trying to photoshop people and make cartoony looking people as practice for my control on photoshop, they are quite blocky and chunky at the moment but then again this is all just a ton of practice for me. So far i`m just working on other people and doing smaller ones of them and, as i`m typing this, I have a separate window open with photoshop and i`m currently doing one of me and David!

So far people have given me advice and improvements to make (So, thank you), but i`m still struggling quite a bit and i`m trying to save up so i can buy a scanner for my drawings aswell so i`m busy-ish at the moment trying to test out new things that i can use when i go back to Sixth form... But that`s if i get back in

(Re-enrollment is on the 13th... So tomorrow... crap...)




I`ve also been trying to do creepier looking faces for art aswell... But this is where i`ll need everyone else`s help and hopefully some of my follwers and friends too.

So, my new art project is basically about my mental health problems; Depression, Anxiety and Psychosis.
But I wanted to know if other people could send in a picture of themselves and a little bit about them or their personal struggle.

You will also obviously have the option to either let me use your images on my blog or use them in my art, and the option to stay anonymous or not. It`s completely up to you guys if you want to be part of this or not, it`ll be interesting to see what comes out of this and i`m kind of looking forward to seeing what may happen if you guys do take part.

You never know, i may get no messages from you guys or i could get a few which should hopefully encourage others to send messages in!

12th, August; Japanese Lessons!

12th, August; Japanese Lessons!

So in the second week of the holidays i went for my very first Japanese lesson with Mia...
So this year it will be three years since i went to Japan, and Mia has gone about 4 or 5 times now, and she went the same year as me too.
When we where there I considered her as a best friend and mainly tagged along with her whilst we where there and she`s been learning Japanese for years now so she`s getting pretty fluent in the language.

So before she goes to University she`s teaching Japanese for £15 a lesson ,which when you think about it, is an amazing price for quick lessons.
She even stayed up till late at night to make me and my friend Lauren  lesson plans and small little flash cards for our Japanese lessons with her.
She really seems to know what she`s doing too and acts like a proper teacher when we had our first lesson and i seriously appreciated her then going out for dinner with me afterwards to a restaurant just around the corner.

So i filled in the work sheets she gave me in the lesson, which was an introduction to Hiragana, casual conversation and numbers. I feel like i`ve got the whole number thing down though, it`s just remembering how to write the symbols. she was really helpful and patient with me trying to guess the numbers when we did a little quiz.
I also bought a little book to do revision in so i can memorize what it is that i`ve just learnt since i`m quite forgetful.




So far, so good! My next Japanese lesson should hopefully be just after i get paid... So i think it might be next week or something, but hopefully i can keep on doing these lessons.
Mia has been a lovely teacher so far and i have a feeling that i`m really going to enjoy the lessons that i have with her!
